For coating thickness applications, precise and non-destructive measurement, even of multi layer samples, can be achieved within seconds. It is possible to simultaneously determine not only the thickness but also composition of alloy coatings.

In addition, the ComPact 5 can also be used for the analysis of plating solutions. The compact chamber, together with an optimised X-ray beam geometry, allows the use of very small collimators. A software controlled multiple-position collimator changer, in conjunction with programmable X-ray tube power capabilities, provides the necessary versatility to adapt the system to almost any required application.

A software controlled X-Y-Z sample-stage facilitates automatic measurement sequences making the ComPact 5 an ideal tool for the electronics industry.
